Welcome 2021

I would like to welcome and thank all of the new comers to my blog. I decided last month that I needed to revamp my current blog page, since I haven’t been keeping it regularly updated as much as I would like. So I figured the best way to do this, is to give some insight into what the plan and objective of this blog will be going forward.

First and foremost, this site will be used as my outlet to discuss and inform others about my daily health while I am on the Transplant Waiting List for a new Liver (will go into more detail in coming posts). Secondly, it will be used as a support outlet for other members of society with chronic, invisible illnesses/diseases. As well as advocate for Organ, bone barrow, tissue, hand/face, blood (stem cells, core blood and platelet) donations.

I demand my space to be one of inclusion, for all people who are fighting daily against their own body to survive one more year, month, day or even one more minute. There will be NO room for bullying or gaslighting other members. My hope is to use my site/space as one that not helps and supports others battling with invisible illness; but also a safe space for family/friends, and caregivers to come and learn about ways they can help support their loved ones in their journey. I will not only share information about a multitude of diseases/conditions, but also tips/tricks from other members on a vast array of topics that we, as medically disabled persons, come across daily.

My biggest goal for this page, is for it to be a safe place where people are able to turn to, not only for information, but also the ability to ask questions and share things they have found that helps them in their personal journey. You can call this a support group if you would like, but the only difference is that it will not cater to just one medical issue, but instead be open and non-discriminative to all members who are ill.

What you will find here will be weekly (if not daily) updates on my current health situation, tips and tricks that will help others with a vast collection of topics. A place where people can ask questions, that “healthy” members of society would be unable to fully understand. I will also have guest members share their stories. In addition, two or three times a month I will include “free write” topics that will not be medical per say but more social topics.

I hope you enjoy and follow along with me as I navigate this world we live in.
